Homebound Hounds
The most successful of our adoption programs, which saves over a thousand puppies from Southside Virginia each year while filling the need for mixed breed puppies in New England.
Pixie's Pen Pals / Fetch A Cure
Through this award-winning program, dogs are trained and cared for by selected inmates, and then adopted into loving homes.
A.D.O.P.T Program
The A.D.O.P.T. (Adult Dogs Offered Professional Training) program helps our long time, senior or otherwise difficult to adopt dogs and places them in training for up to two weeks to make them more adoptable.
Metro Richmond Pet Savers (MRPS)
MRPS is a coalition of local rescue groups, shelters and educational organizations that have teamed up to reduce euthanasia rates in our municipal shelters.
PAWS Program
Through this pet sponsorship program, you can help an individual animal at the Southside SPCA shelter without having to worry about pet hair on your furniture.
Tail Waggers Thrift Store
Our thrift store is devoted to supporting the Southside SPCA through the sale of goods donated by our volunteers and supporters and presents the opportunity to educate the public about our shelter and its mission.
