Providing for the Southside SPCA in your will can make a permanent difference on animal welfare in Southside Virginia!
As you may know, the Southside SPCA has an endowment managed as a component fund of The Community Foundation – Serving Central Virginia. This endowment fund provides a permanent and long-term stream of income to the Southside SPCA.
Why should you name the Southside SPCA Endowment Fund in your will? Perhaps you want a portion of your estate (perhaps the residual) to make a lasting impact on animal welfare in Southside Virginia. Also, you may want to maintain control and full use of your assets during your lifetime, yet still leave something for the Southside SPCA – at a level you might never have managed otherwise.
The appropriate language to use in your will is:
The Community Foundation, Inc. (Richmond, Virginia – TAX ID #23-7009135) for the benefit of the Southside SPCA Endowment Fund.
You can also support the Southside SPCA Endowment Fund with stock gifts or gifts by IRA charitable rollovers.
If you would like to give via these methods, please contact Lisa O’Mara at The Community Foundation at (804) 330-7400, ext. 122 or at lpomara@tcfrichmond.org.
